Free Group Ride
FRIDAY RIDERS (Late Start): Secret and Not-So-Secret Gardens of Mill Creek
Event has already happened.
We'll ride mostly quiet suburban streets to Centennial Park in Bothell, then stroll through two gardens, Rhodie Ridge, and the WSU Demonstration Garden at McCollum Park (both free). A possible add-on is a stop at the Northwest Stream Center (approximate cost $5/person), also at McCollum Park. Then we'll head up to Silver Lake in Everett on the Interurban Trail. We'll stop for lunch at Piroshky & Crepes before returning to our starting point at Martha Lake Aiport Park. This ride can be shortened at various points, so if the weather turns bad, we will do that. It's that wet time of the year, so be sure your bike is equipped with fenders or be prepared to ride last in line. :) Bring money for the lunch stop and NW Stream Center admission, water and snacks, and a spare tube and tools for flat fixing.
Please arrive early for the safety briefing. We will try to leave promptly at 11 am.
If it's raining, snowy, icy, unreasonably cold, or extremely windy that day, I'll post a cancellation notice here by 9:00 am. If it looks like intermittant rain showers, I'll be at the ride start and will consult the Dark Sky app to make my decision about riding or not. Feel free to call me at 425-238-4045 for updates that morning.
