Flat Ride Out of Orting

Please join us for a very flat, country ride! Not doing the STP, want to get out and enjoy the wonderful weather?  Join us on this flat ride that goes on a combination of trails and surface streets and, if we're lucky, a few bird sightings.

We'll start in Orting, head north on the Foothills trail, get off the trail at Pioneer Way and make our way through the lovely town of Sumner.  We'll continue on the surface roads until we get to the Interurban Trail where we'll ride for less than 10 miles before turning onto S 259th.  Then we'll continue on a road that will take us by a golf course and the Green River before heading into Auburn where we'll take a quick break at Zola's Cafe (MP 28).  From here we'll get back on the Interurban Trail and head back to Sumner and our starting place Orting.

Everyone is welcome. PLEASE BRING A SMILE AND GOOD ATTITUDE WITH YOU! We will stay together as a group, but it's always nice to bring your own cue sheet in case you become separated from the group.  Please pack water, snack, and tools/tubes to fix a flat as always. 

Yes, there are restrooms and water at the start!

9:00 am is a roll out time. Please aim to arrive by 8:40 am so you have time to get ready, sign the waiver, and listen to the safety briefing. Registering here will make the process easier and faster. 

In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below, and on the Meetup announcement page two hours prior to the start time on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leaders will not be at the start.
