TREATS/Skagit County Outing

A social, steady paced and very scenic rural ride from Mount Vernon to Bayview, Samish Island,  Edison and Bow.  Lunch for purchase in Edison, mile 26. Bring water, snacks and money for lunch.  Terrain is flat to rolling.  Although this ride is a bit of a drive (approx 1 hour from Lynnwood area) this gorgeous rural loop will make your drive worthwhile.  Start location is Edgewater Park on the Skagit River near downtown Mount Vernon.   Directions:  I-5 north,  exit Kincaid Street in Mount Vernon (exit 226) left off exit then follow signs thru downtown for highway 536.  ( this will be basically a right on S. Third then bearing left onto Division to cross the Skagit River bridge)  As soon as you cross the bridge take the next left on Ball Street which will dead end at the park.  Restrooms available at start. Park in the gravel lot, not by the restroom building. 

Please arrive and be ready to ride by 9:50 so the group can have a briefing and roll promptly at 10am. Cue sheets are online for you to print.   In the case of showers or worse,  the ride leader may not be at the start but will post a cancellation notice in the comments section of this posting by 7am.  Please check the comments section before you make the drive to the start. 

If you have a Cascade account you may register on line up until 7am on the day of ride by selecting the register button at the top of this posting.  After that time you may register at the start.  If your plans change you do not need to unregister.
