Free Group Ride
FRIDAY RIDERS: Two Trails and Kirkland Roads
Event has already happened.
Enjoy a ride with a variety of terrain combining two trails and Kirkland roads with some hills. There is free parking, bathrooms, and water available at the start. We will cycle 5 miles on the flat compact dirt/gravel Cross Kirkland Corridor trail suitable for all tires. Pick up the flat paved Sammamish River trail and head north toward Bothell. There are restrooms and water available at Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodinville. Leave the Sammamish River trail at the Wayne Golf Course and head uphill on Kirkland roads leading to downtown Kirkland. The ride leader is slow on the hills (5 mph) and will regroup at the top. The group will break at Caffe Ladro in downtown Kirkland for tasty pastries and coffee. Please bring money or credit card. Continue south along the Kirkland waterfront to the South Kirkland P&R and pick up the Cross Kirkland Corridor trail back to the cars at Crestwoods Park.
Riders are responsible for their own equipment repairs. Please bring your own tools and spare tube to fix a flat. Bicycle helmets are required!
Meet at 9:45 AM to ready your bicycle and listen to a safety briefing. The ride leaves promptly at 10 AM.
If weather is inclement check the comments section for ride cancellation notice. A notice will be posted 2 hours prior to meet time and the ride leader will not appear at the start.
