Free Group Ride
MUMPS: Log Boom-Mill Creek-Kirkland Ramble (Moderate)
Event has already happened.
Join me for a moderate pace ride from Log Boom Park to Mill Creek, Woodinville, Totem Lake, and Kirkland, including 5 miles on the Kirkland Cross Corridor Trail. I plan to ride 14-15mph on the flat (unless everyone goes faster) and not amp up the effort much on the hills. We'll head north from Log Boom Park to Mill Creek, then south to Woodinville for a lunch stop at Starbucks at about mile 23, and returns to start via Kirkland Cross Corridor Trail (hard-packed gravel, fine for road bikes), Kirkland and Juanita.
We regroup frequently including at the top of hills. There are restrooms at the start. Full fenders and mud flaps are appreciated if the roads are wet. Please be prepared to take care of your flats or mechanical issues if necessary. (You will nearly always find other riders to be helpful also.)
See the link below for the route. If you want the route/cue sheet, please download or print it to bring along.
If the weather forecast is for rain or unsafe riding conditions during the ride, the ride leader will not be at the start and and a cancellation notice will be posted in the comments section below at least two hours in advance.
Please save time at the start by registering online (on this page); make sure your account is open, click on Register Now, check the waiver box and enter your contact info if it doesn't appear automatically, and you are good to go. You don't need to un-register if you don't make it to the ride. Please be at the start at least 10 minutes early for SMART safety talk and route comments.
