Sumner to Swan Creek Park

Join me for a ride from Summer through Puyallup up the hill to the Summit and Midland area! We'll be leaving Sumner and head through downtown Puyallup and ascend up Fruitland Ave (a roughly 2 mile climb that briefly tops out around 6% grade) to the Summit/Midland area and over to Swan Creek Park where we will take a bonus loop around the paved section of the park (1-2 miles).  Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to hear the SMART talk and have enough time to be ready to ride on time. Restrooms available at the start, at mile 8 (optional if needed), at mile 15 (+water fountain) and at the park.

Please print cue sheets from the route link below (none available at start) or download to GPS device and bring all necessary tools & tubes to handle any flats etc. Waiting for mechanical issues will be at the discretion of the ride leader. Fenders highly recommended during the rainy seasons and when there is a chance of rain in the forecast, otherwise you will be asked to ride in the back. We will regroup at the top of major hills and turns, but ride leader will ride with best interests of the group in mind (maintaining posted pace for flats).  If ride is cancelled due to weather, it will be posted here in comments two hours before ride start and ride leader will not be waiting at start.
