Event has already happened.
Join us for a 21 mile, 1300-foot elevation gain ride as we tour Lake Union, Capitol Hill, Beacon Hill, and Montlake. Along the way, we will visit Lake Union Park, Colonnade Park, Cal Anderson Park, Dr. Jose Rizal Park, Mt. Baker Park, Colman Park, and the Arboretum. We will regroup at the top of any major hills. We will also stop by the oldest house in the city of Seattle. There will be two optional hills for those who are up for the challenge with one being E. Roy, the steepest paved street in Seattle with a 26% grade. The pace will be moderate but may feel like brisk effort because of the hills on the route. Afterwards, we'll head to the Nickerson Street Saloon for food, drinks and socializing for those interested.
Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start time to get your bike set up, sign the waiver, and to listen to the safety talk.
I will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in “Showers Cancels” above. I will announce the cancellation in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the ride start and will monitor my phone and/or email listed in the Contact information. If you have questions about the weather, please call (or email) before you leave for the ride.
