Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
This ride starts at Enatai Beach Park (Under I-90). There are multiple parking areas at the Beach Park itself, and further along SE Lake Road. There are restrooms at Enatai Park.
The route takes us the "tradtitional" route up to old Bellevue, and then along Lk Washington Blvd SE towards Medina. We'll stop at the SR520 overlook before proceeding along Lk Washington Blvd NE through Kirkland. There's a climb up Market St, then we'll head over to Juanita Drive for some more climbing. After the descent, we'll make our way over to 192 Brewing (www.192brewing.com) on the Burke Gilman Trail for a lunch break in their outdoor area. After the break it's along the Burke Gilman trail (speed limited to 15mph) to the University of Washington. We'll proceed along the Lk Washington bike trail towards Lk Washington Blvd and the I-90 trail. A quick trip along the north end of Mercer Island, then back to the start.
Pace: Brisk 16 to 18mph on the flats with an equivalent effort up hills. Except Burke Gilman trail, which is limited to 15mph. We will regroup at the top of significant climbs, and major intersections. If you plan to ride faster or slower, please come prepared to ride on your own so that the group does not have long wait times. Please print out the Cue Sheet and bring this with you.
Regroups/Mechanicals: This is a social ride, so we will stop for minor mechanical issues as necessary. Please come prepared with the necessary equipment you need to take care of flats or other problems.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of a weather cancellation, a notice will be posted in the comments on this page at least two hours before the ride and the ride leader will not be at the ride start location. If questionable, you can also contact the ride leader using the provided contact information.
Please make sure to arrive at least 20 minutes before the ride start so you can get prepared to roll out at the posted time, sign a waiver, and hear the ride briefing. As is required with all Cascade rides, please ensure you wear a helmet and come prepared with gear that is comfortable and appropriate for the weather, and distance/elevation.
