Tour de South Bainbridge Island

This is a fun social ride to explore the interesting places on Bainbridge Island you may have missed if you ever did Chilly Hilly.  We will ride through WInslow down to Lynnwood. First stop will be at the  Parks Department Dock near Crystal Springs.  We then will ride over Baker Hill, our one big hill for the day. We will stop for coffee or a light lunch in Lynnwood and then bicycle out to Fort Ward Park for our next stop. We will then ride out on South Beach for an interesting view of the sound. Back tracking to Fort Ward Hill, we will ride over it and down to Blakey Harbor.  A short climb up Halls Hill will take us to a wonderful new park called Halls Hill Overlook for our next stop. We will then ride down to Rockaway beach and possibly explore a little of the beach if it is low tide. We will then ride over to Eagle Harbor Drive and stop at the Excusion Memorial to remember the large population of Japanese Americans who were removed from their homes on Bainbridge in 1942.  We will ride back through Winslow, where you may want to stop and explore some of the shops.  If coming from Seattle, please take the 9:35 ferry. The Bike Barn is on your right as you come off of the ferry.
