Event has already happened.
NOTE: We will meet at the Mercer Slough Blueberry Farm on Bellevue Way just north of the South Bellevue Park and Ride.
Please join us as this fun ride starts with riding through Beaux Arts Village with its beautiful trees and well-manicured lawns. We will ride through downtown Bellevue, then through Medina before riding the 520 Bike Trail to Lake Washington Blvd. After riding through Kirkland, we have a couple of small climbs before reaching the Burke Gilman Trail at the Wayne Golf Course. From there, it's a short flat ride to Redmond and Marymoor using local roads. Then we'll ride at gentle rolling terrain on the west side of Lake Sammamish and gradually climb Newport Way for approx 3 miles. We will conclude the ride by riding along the bike route, SE 36th Street, and the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trail; and it's back to our cars.
Riders should bring water, a spare tube, tools and the know-how to fix a flat. There will be no food stops on this ride; so please bring your own food and water for the ride.
Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time for the required safety briefing so that we can roll promptly at 10am. Showers and/or steady rain cancel the ride.
The ride leaders will not be at the ride start should inclement weather meets the definition for cancellation (showers, steady rain). Ride cancellation will be announced at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start on the comments section and Meetup. If you have questions about the weather, please call (425) 208-9408 or (818) 590-8167, preferably before you leave for the ride.
