Biking in Tukwila Environs
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
This is a bike ride in the Tukwila environs. We will explore the hills around Southcenter; Shopping centers, crack houses, McMansions, trailier parks, coal mines, sewage plants, hills, this ride has it all. Did I mention hills? Bring legs and gears.
Showers cancel. There is no cue sheet.
We meet at the stand alone Starbucks at 333 Strander, just south of Southcenter. The peleton rolls out promptly at 10 am.
This ride is intended to be a short, intense workout for people with a wide range of fitness levels. I'm slow on the hills so feel free to do any hill twice. The first hill will have a relatively modest 9 % grade and should provide us with a good warmup. After that the hills will get progressively steeper.
I am posting this ride at a brisk pace, but it is open to anyone capable of riding brisk or faster. Even super-strenuous riders can get a good workout on this route (just do the hills twice).
Showers cancel this ride. Bring spare tubes and knowledge to change your flats and know how to deal with your own mechnicals.
