Friday Fool's Dash to Spanaway Lake

Join us for a ride from Summer to the hidden gem of Spanaway Lake! We'll be leaving Sumner and swing by Knutson Farms where we may see the last major daffodil farm in the valley, then head through downtown Puyallup, ascend up to the Summit area and continue west to Spanaway Lake. If the weather is not too overcast, we may catch sight of the C-17 Globemasters or other aircraft as they practice takeoffs and landings at McChord Field. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to have enough time to prepare your bike and hear the SMART talk. Restrooms available at the start, at the 10 mile mark, and at the halfway mark about mile 22 where we will take about a 15 minute break.

Please print cue sheets (none available at start), bring water, snacks and all necessary tools & tubes to handle any flats etc. Waiting for mechanical issues will be at the discretion of the ride leader. We will regroup at the top of major hills and turns, but ride leader will ride with best interests of the group in mind (maintaining posted pace for flats). Fenders highly recommended during the rainy seasons and when there is a chance of rain in the forecast, otherwise you will be asked to ride in the back. If ride is cancelled due to weather, it will be posted here in comments by 7:00am and ride leader will not be waiting at start.
