LUMPs: Ride to UW ULink Light Rail Grand Opening

LUMPs stands for Leisurely Urbane Matthewsbeach Pedalers. The ride will not start at Matthews Beach, however we will start from the Cascade Bicycle Club office in Magnuson Park.  We will then ride south on the Burke-Gilman Trail to the new UW Light Rail Station near Husky Stadium. The ride is one-way only. Each rider is free to park their bicycle in the bicycle parking area at the Light Rail Station. Remember to bring a good bicycle lock. At the UW Light Rail Station, riders may choose to ride the light rail, tour the new station, or enjoy the grand opening festivities.  Each rider is free to return, on their own, back to the start at Cascade Bicycle Club office in Magnuson Park. The ride leader encourages each individual rider to choose the time when each rider wishes to return to the start location. The terrain is flat. Snow, ice or rain cancels the ride. Helmets and a functioning bicycle are required. No cue sheets provided. Note: Preregistration is not required to do the ride, but if you can, please try to preregister for this ride prior to the day of the ride. 
Step #1 Sign into (or create) a Cascade account at www.cascade.org
Step #2 Open this ride announcement and click on the Register button under the ride title at the top.
Step #3 On the Registration page, check the Waiver Signature release box (please read or review the Waiver & Release by clicking the link below the Waiver Signature box). Don't change the number in the "Spaces" block. 
Step #4 Fill in the Emergency phone number space with the number of your emergency contact person.
Step #5 Click on the "Save Registration" button. Now you are registered for the ride. 

If you can't make the ride you do not have to unregister.
