Scenic Steady Ride: Magnuson - Ravenna Loop
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Take a pleasant Sunday ride from the Cascade Bicycling Center in Magnuson Park, to Ravenna Park, by the city's oldest P-patch (Picardo Farm P-Patch), and through a secret little urban forest. About half the ride is on the Burke Gilman Trail, and much of the other half meanders through quiet residential streets. Please be ready by eleven in front of the Cascade Bicycling Center, with your tires pumped up and your bike in good order, so we can do a safety briefing and get underway on time. There may not be restrooms/water at the start, so please plan ahead; we will stop at a restroom halfway through the ride (Ravenna Park). The map and cue sheets are at the links below.
Directions to Start: From I-5 take the NE 45th St exit, head east on NE 45th St about 4.5 miles where 45th becomes Sand Point Way NE. Continue along Sand Point Way NE to the 7400 block, take a right at the light into Warren G. Magnuson Park. From Hwy 520-Take the Montlake exit, head north on Montlake Blvd. past UW. Following arterial to the right, Montlake becomes 45th and then becomes Sand Point Way. Turn right at the light into Warren G. Magnuson Park (7400 block). Take the first left after the park entrance and follow the road until you reach the Cascade Bicycling Center (see http://www.cascade.org/about/contact-us).
