Cascade Bicycle Club-Seward Park Loop (Don't forget DST!)

Come join us for a shortish, urban ride around Seattle. From Cascade Bicycle Club we head south via Capitol Hill. We enjoy a long stretch of road along cherry trees (hopefully they will be blooming) on Beacon Ave then cut through Rainier Beach neighborhood toward Seward Park where we have a short break. We will head back north via Lake Washington Blvd and Montlake.

Please note, we will ride within the posted pace on the flats, with an equivalent effort up hills. If you ride significantly faster or slower, you will be asked to ride on your own. This will be a social ride with waits at the top of hills and all critical turns along with photo-op stops along the way. We will stop for a minor mechanical issue for moral support, but you have to be able to fix it by yourself. Please come prepared with the necessary equipment you need to take care of flats. Please print a cue sheet from the route link below in the event that you get separated from the group. ORCA card works well to get you home in case of an unfixable mechanical issue.

Please make sure to arrive at least 20 minutes before the ride start so you can sign the waiver, hear the safety briefing, and we can be ready to roll out at the posted time. As is required with all Cascade rides, please ensure you wear a helmet and come prepared with gear that is comfortable and appropriate for the distance and elevation.

In the event of a weather cancellation, a notice will be posted in the comments on this page at least two hours before the ride and the ride leaders will not be at the ride start location.
