Double NERD (Moderate)
Event has already happened.
Come join us for a rolling adventure around Lynnwood, Martha Lake, Silver Lake and Paine Field.
What is a Double NERD ride? NERD (Northside Evening Rides before Dark) is a midweek series that runs during the warmer months when we have more daylight available in the evening. This route is a combination of two (or more) of those evening routes, for an extra fun adventure. This week is fairly flat compared to previous weeks, but with a lot of little hills because there is no such thing as flat here. Less climbing overall will keep our legs fresh for Chilly Hilly event ride the next day (More info).
Riders must arrive 15 minutes before the start time, to listen to the safety briefing and sign the waiver. Riders who miss the safety briefing will not be able to ride with us.
All riders should carry tools, spare tubes, and have the ability to change a flat. Please dress for the weather, and include fenders on your bike.
At mile 9.5 we pass through Martha Lake Airport Park, and at mile 21 we have a brief rest stop at Paine Field Community Park with port-a-potty available, but there are no food stops on this ride. Please bring whatever you plan to consume.
NOTE: In addition to steady rain, ice/snow and any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, it will be posted here in the comment section by 8:00 a.m. and ride leaders will not be waiting at the start.
NOTE2: Online waiver is not available for this ride.
