Before REI there was Filson. Established in 1897 to sell rugged outdoor clothing to timber workers and later as outfitters for the 1898 Gold Rush, Filson is one of Seattle's iconic institutions. The company recently opened a new showroom/museum, with hunky sales staff dressed as lumberjacks. Truly an experience. The route will follow Dexter/2nd Ave to SoDo and return by the waterfront. A brief stop for lunch/snack. Bring a lock. Snow/ice also cancels. No pre-registration necessary.
