Posting my last ride for what will be a longish trip to the UK in 2016.
This is a well known loop route around the southern section of Lake Washington. Start at South Bellevue P&R in the southern part of the parking lot. We will start by heading down to Renton on the east side of the lake, passing the VMAC (Seahawks training camp) and down to Gene Coulon park (1st pitstop) onto Renton. Follow Airport Way and head up the west side of the lake to Seward Park (2nd pitstop). From here we'll head up and over I-90 and whisk around the southern section of Mercer Island back to the P&R.
This ride will happen rain or shine (one has to hope). Which means dress for the unexpected and ensure your bike is equipped with fenders and buddy flaps (otherwise you will be asked to ride at the back of the group).
We'll take pitstops at Gene Coulon and Seward Park for water and nature breaks. The restrooms by the blueberry farm at the ride start are closed for the season so either take care of yourself beforehand or wait until we hit the first nature break.
We will regroup on all the short climbs and major junctions and flat tire incidents.
Depending on the amount of riders I may be looking for a sweep to assist with the ride.
Please arrive with enough time to prepare yourself, sign in and hear the safety talk.
