Event has already happened.
Weather should be clear, so come join us for an unforgettable ride around San Juan Island. We will be taking only our bikes on the 9:30AM ferry from Anacortes, which will go non-stop to Friday Harbor, arriving at 10:35AM. You can meet us either at the ferry terminal in Anacortes at 9:00AM, or in Friday Harbor at 10:35AM. Feel free to text or call me with your intentions so we don't miss you!
Our pace will be 16-18 on the flats with no wind, and climb at your own pace, regrouping at the top of the longer hills. If we see a whale or a good lookout point, we will probably stop and take in the scenery. Being more of a social ride, we will keep together and have FUN. Please bring either some lunch or food money, as we will stop for lunch somewhere on the island. Be prepared to fix your own flats and be responsible for any mechanical issues.
If weather looks bad, I will announce the ride canceled at 6:30AM in the notes below.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
