Free Group Ride
TREATS: Bothell - Eastern Lakes II
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
This is a social, somewhat hilly ride through the back roads east of Woodinville and Redmond. We’ll ride at a Steady pace (approx.14 mph on the flats) and regroup at the tops of the more challenging hills. Meet at Sammamish River Park (at the gravel parking lot on the Sammamish River Trail immediately across the Sammamish River from downtown Bothell, on 102nd St. NE). There are no restrooms at the start but we’ll be stopping for a restroom break in about two miles at Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodinville. Lunch will be at Starbucks (or QFC or..?) at Trilogy. Please bring equipment to fix a flat and know how to use it. We will try to wait for mechanicals but may not be able to wait for everything. Make sure you know the way back in case you get separated from the group. You can print the map/cue sheet (see http://ridewithgps.com/routes/11039018) and/or load it onto your GPS device.
Note: It is possible we will vary the route depending on weather conditions and/or the disposition of the ride leaders. The ride will depart at 10:00 a.m. sharp so please arrive at the starting point early enough to prepare, sign the waiver, and go through the S.M.A.R.T. safety briefing. Rain or showers may cancel -- if in doubt you can call the leader after 8:00 a.m. on the day of the ride.
