Come visit the State Capitol in Olympia for a beautiful scenic ride through the State Capitol grounds, along the scenic Olympia area waterfront. The ride will be a social moderate pace ride (14-16mph on the flats) with scenic regroup stops, including the Boston Harbor Marina. The ride start location is super-easy to get to right off the State Capitol exit from I-5. Ample parking. Restrooms are available at the start, at the nearby State Capitol visitors' center.
We will assemble near the "Winged Victory" WWI memorial statue in the center of the Capitol Grounds. It's in the shadow of the Capitol Dome.
The ride is a mix of dedicated bike paths, bike lanes, and bike-friendly rural roads. We will ride the posted 14-16 mph pace on the flats, and regroup periodically. After the ride feel free to check out the nearby Olympia Farmers Market.
The roads are expected to be wet on Saturday, so fenders are a necessary courtesy to other riders. In the event of steady, very heavy rain the ride leader may not be at the start but will post a cancellation notice in the comments section of this posting by 9:00am the day of the ride
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the ride start time to sign the waiver and hear the safety briefing so we can leave promptly at 11.
What to Know Before You Go

- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
