FRUMPS 10: Marymoor - Carnation - Redmond Ridge
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
This is a social ride beginning with a climb up Louis Thompson hill then a thrilling and scenic descent into the Snoqualmie Valley. Lunch will be in Carnation.
We will meet near the Subway “café” at the restroom building next to the tennis courts in Marymoor Park. If you enter the park from the west entrance the meeting place will be on your left about 0.2 miles inside the park. Bring a dollar bill for parking.
There are restrooms at the start and restroom stops at 10 miles and 42 miles.
NOTE: We will be riding on a hard-packed dirt trail for about 500 hundred feet.
Riders should be able to maintain 16 mph on flats with no wind. We will regroup at the tops of major hills. Please bring equipment to fix a flat and know how to use it. We will try to wait for mechanicals but may not be able to wait for everything. Make sure you know the way back in case you get separated from the group. You can print the map/cue sheet (see http://ridewithgps.com/routes/10527972) and/or load it onto your GPS device.
The ride will start at 10:00 a.m. sharp so please arrive at the starting point early enough to prepare, sign the waiver, and go through the S.M.A.R.T. safety briefing. Rain, showers, or probable rain will cancel. If in doubt you can check this website or call the leader after 7:00 a.m. day of ride.
