Event has already happened.
Please join the social ride from Magnuson Park (Cascade Bicycle Club start) to Leschi and back. This 25-mile ride will have a few hills to climb (after all, we live in Seattle, right?) with a promise of nice views here and there. We will take both trails and surface roads while we practice proper hand signals for a safe group riding.
The pace is 12-14mph on flat (slower uphills and faster downhills). We will regroup at the top of every hill. Some hills are perfect photo ops, so bring your camera! New riders to group riding and new comers of Seattle are welcome. And of course, everyone else is welcome, too! This is a social ride, so please bring your smile :-).
For those who don't own a car, there are several bus lines that go to Magnuson Park from downtown Seattle and UW. Put your bike on Metro bus and enjoy the multi-modal life!
If you haven't ridden your bike for a while, please do ABC check (http://www.cascade.org/abc-quick-check) prior to the ride. Please bring tubes and tools to fix a flat and some snack/water! What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
