The Edge - 42, 50, 75, 100
Event has already happened.
It's late summer and you've put in thousands of miles and climbing into those legs - what are you going to do with all of that great conditioning? Go find a BIG ride of course!
The Edge is a late-season ride to challenge riders with up to 100 miles and 10,000' of climbing. And when we say climbing, we're not talking about an easy-weekend-kind-of-climbing. The route is going to take you to the edge on some of the nastiest hill climbs on the Eastside.
A new ride for 2015, The Edge is destined to become an annual tradition in the third week of August. The course comes in four different sizes:
42 miles – 4,200 ft.
50 miles – 6,000 ft.
75 miles – 7,500 ft
100 miles – 10,000 ft.
The Edge is for experienced riders who are comfortable following cue sheets and riding independently. You can ride on your own or find riders in every pace category from 14 to 25+ mph pacing. Please note, this is self paced, self guided ride that does not regroup nor does it have a sweep.
The Edge's August 22nd date makes it an excellent ride to keep in shape and prep for three other late-season big rides: High Pass Challenge (Aug 31st), Tour de Blast and Passport2Pain both on (Sept 12th).
Weather – The decision to ride or cancel will be made from the starting location. If the ride is officially canceled, cue sheets will still be available for those who wish to ride in any conditions.
Note: There are no restrooms available at the start of today’s ride, plan accordingly.
