Event has already happened.
Ferragosto -- the Italian mid-summer holiday, usually celebrated with horse racing. We'll take our two-wheeled steeds on a vigorous-paced 80 mile ride from the Cascade Bicycling Center in Magnuson Park northwards through Edmonds and Everett to Marysville. Food and coffee stop in Everett around mile 50. Meet at the CBC headquarters (north of the Mountaineers building, next to Sail Sand Point) at 0750 for a pre-ride safety brief. Restrooms available at the start. Rolling promptly at 0800. We'll ride together and re-group as necessary at the top of the big hills. For those so inclined to delay their return home, we'll ride past the Washington Beer Festival in Everett. http://washingtonbeer.com/festivals/everett-craft-beer-festival.php (Final segment along the Burke Gilman Trail will be at 15mph.)
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
