FRUMPS - Mercer Island Cougar Mtn Issaquah

Ride will start at the south end of Aubrey Davis Park.  Driving directions if coming from Seattle.  Take exit 6 off of I-90 at the east end of the floating bridge onto W Mercer Way.  Take a right on W Mercer Way.  Left on SE 24th St.  Left on 66th Ave SE.  It will curve over to SE 22nd St. We will meet at SE 22nd St and 71st Ave SE, which is the south entrance to the park.  There is plenty of parking on this side of the park.  If coming from the east side, take exit 7 and continue following road that parallels I-90 until you get to W Mercer Way. Take a left at W Mercer Way and follow directions noted above. Do not google the directions as it might take you to the north side of the park!  There are bathrooms just inside the park from where will be meeting.

This route will take us around Mercer Island to warm up the legs.  Ride pace around Mercer Island will be steady to moderate.  The rest of the ride the pace will be steady due to the number of hills on the ride.  After finishing Mercer Island, we will climb up Cougar Mtn (the easy side).  Ride leader is a very slow hill climber, so the pace will be an easy pace to climb Cougar Mtn.  We will have a lunch stop in Issaquah and come back by way of Newport Way to Mercer Island.

Please be prepared and have spare tube, pump and patches in case of a mechanical.

I will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in "Weather Cancels" above.  I will announce the cancellation in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the ride start.

Cue sheet will be provided online a couple days before the ride.
