SHE BIKES - Seattle Cycle Sirens – Sammamish River Trail and Burke-Gilman Trail
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
~~Answer the call to ride and join the Seattle Cycle Sirens for a women’s ride around beautiful Sammamish River and Burke Gilman! The Seattle Cycle Sirens' (SCS) mission is to encourage women of all abilities to get out and ride! Hear the call of the road... your siren for fun!
The Ride Leader will be leading a Moderate paced ride (14-16 mph on the flats with no headwinds or tailwinds). Those who wish to ride at a faster pace are welcome to do so, but it will then become a self-paced ride for them. Slower riders are also welcome to take the route at their own pace as this is a NO-DROP ride and we will regroup as needed along the way.
Sammamish River Trail and Burke-Gilman Trail. Around 40 miles. There will be one rider who will be riding around 60 miles in all and you are welcome to follow her. However, if you choose this option at that point it will no longer be an official Cascade ride.
~~Riders are expected to have the following with them: water, red blinking tail light and white front light, a spare tube, a pump and other tools to change a flat tire. Please remember that it's important to check your tire pressure regularly during the summer. (e.g., weekly during the cycling season)
