FRUMPS: Enumclaw Black Diamond Loop
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
NOTE: The pace of this ride has changed from Moderate to Steady.
We will meet at the Enumclaw QFC parking lot. Please park in the north east section along Stevenson Ave.
This is one of my favorite routes. It starts in the town of Enumclaw and passes through some beautiful quiet country back roads that offer great views of Mt. Rainier! We'll swoosh down some awesome hills to the valley only to climb back up and into the town of Black Diamond where we will stop for a short break at the famous Black Diamond Bakery. After our rest stop at the bakery we'll continue on towards Ravensdale, Kanaskat-Palmer Rec area, and Nolte State Park. We'll take a quick restroom and water break at Nolte then head out again. As we near Enumclaw we will ride past King County Fair Grounds and the back side of Mount Peak and onto Mud Mountain Dam Road and back to the start.
We will have two stops on this ride. First stop is Black Diamond Bakery at mile 19, our second stop will be at Nolte State Park at mile 33 and for those who would like an end stop there is Starbucks just one block from our finish.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start to hear the smart talk. We ride at 9:00 AM sharp. Bathrooms available at start.
Please bring water, a spare tube, tools and the know-how to fix a flat.
I will not be at the ride start should inclement weather meet the definition for cancellation (showers). Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments Section below at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start. If you have questions about the weather, please call 253-312-0711 preferably before you leave for the ride.
