Free Group Ride
Sunday Spin to Snohomish
Event has already happened.
Meeting place for the ride is on the south side of 65th in the P&R parking lot near the bus stop. Please arrive 15 minutes early for a ride briefing and to sign in for the ride. We will ride to Snohomish and Monroe via North Seattle and Everett on a mix of roads and multi user paths. The return route will be through Maltby and Woodinville. The pace for the ride will largely be on the low end of brisk on flats, slower with head winds, faster with tail winds. On multi user paths we will ride at the 15 mph speed limit and I will strongly encourage single file riding and slower speeds for passing at congested points on the multi user paths. There will be regroups when broken up by traffic lights and within reason on inclines. Riders slower or faster than the advertised pace will be self guided. Print a map and cue sheet from the link provided if you feel you will need it. Please have the tools, equipment, and knowledge to fix your own flats. In the interest of the group I cannot wait for mechanicals. An orca card or cash for transit and a cell phone are handy to have. I plan for a 20-30 minute food stop in Snohomish or Monroe, location will depend on group consensus. An ice cream stop in Maltby may also be an option by group consensus. There will be occasional stops along the way to fill water bottles, usually around every 15-20 miles. Plan accordingly and bring whatever containers you need to hydrate sufficiently during the ride.
