TREATS RIDE-to the XXX Drive-In, Issaquah

Ride from "The Lid" Park on Mercer Island to the XXX Drive-In, Issaquah for a lunch stop.  Return will be via either local roadways or Bicycle Trails parallel to Hwy I-90 to the "Start."  If you are coming to the "Start" from Seattle, exit Hwy I-90 at the east end of the I-90 Floating Bridge, Mercer Island.  Left turn at the first Intersection.  At the "Lid" Park there is parking for your car.  We will meet at this there.  There is a portable type sanitation facility available at this parking lot.  If there is need for a more sophisticated restroom facility, there is a complete restroom a short distance uphill and to the east of the "Start" point.  The Lid Park is used for various sporting activities.  If you are arriving from the Eastside, use Exit 7 and then follow the road parrallel to the I-90 freeway westward.

This ride will be through mostly rural areas on low traffic roads.  There will be a "Rest Stop" at the Squak Mountain State Park approximately 16 miles from the beginning of the ride.   The lunch stop will be another 5 miles or so.  The XXX Drive-In Restaurant serves a variety of "Drive-In" type lunch menu items, such as hamburgers and milk shakes but also has other items on their menu if you have various preferences beyond hamburgers.  There is an extensive out door picnic area for your pleasure at this drive-In.
