Free Group Ride
Renton to Black Diamond Coffee Ride
Event has already happened.
Scenic and challenging 47-mile ride at a steady pace (12 -14 mph) from Renton to Black Diamond via Interurban trail (flat) through Kent, Auburn and onto the infamous Black Diamond bakery for a coffee and pastry break (mile 27) and return via Covington-Maple Valley and along the scenic Cedar River trail. We'll climb the slight grade hills at a comfortable pace and regroup at the top. Beginning level and new riders are welcome on this stay-together ride and will learn safe group riding skills on trails and roads. The ride will take about 5 hours including breaks, so please pack some food and water. Please arrive 15 minutes before start time of 9:30 a.m. for safety briefing and to check your bike. Restrooms available at start location.
Mentoring opportunity is available for prospective Ride Leader with advance notice and if we have at least 5 riders.
