Saturday Morning Rides in Snohomish County #10 - Moderate
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Saturday Morning Rides in Snohomish County: Come and check out the the beauty of Snohomish County; we will cover pretty much every corner! Routes start at 30 miles in December and increase to just over 60 miles by the end of March. The elevation averages 50ft/mile.
Start: We meet at the north end of the Park & Ride.
Route: This route has been changed since the first posting. It is a beautiful route towards Monroe over rural, never boring roads with lots of little climbs and curves. Then it seeks the open country and ends with a gradual long climb out of the Snohomish Valley (note: there is a wide shoulder on Hwy 9).
Rest stops: MP 4.3 Tambark Creek Park (restrooms only), MP 25.8 Starbucks in Monroe, MP 42.3 Willis Tucker Park (restrooms only).
Expectations (important, please read!): Arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the waiver and be part of the safety briefing. S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Front and rear lights are highly recommended! Riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. We regroup occasionally. Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group and bring a charged cellphone if possible. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by having a positive attitude, having fenders when the roads are wet or rain is in the forecast, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain/snow cancels the ride. If the ride is canceled, it will be posted by 7:00 am in the comment section. In that case the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.
Your RSVP on Meetup.com is very much appreciated.
