This is a Flat-Hilly-Flat loop Brisk-paced ride starting from the lower Woodland Park parking lot near the soccer fields. Our route will head towards the Seattle waterfront and then to Alki beach. That's 20 miles. Then a dozen miles of hilly terrain as we depart from Fauntleroy and head east to the Duwamish river and then up to Renton. From there it's mostly flat again, along Lake Washington, through the Arboretum and return via Wallingford. We'll keep a brisk pace of 17-18 mph on the flat sections, but it will definitely be slower up those hills! (And we will keep to the 15mph limit for the short times we are on the Ship Canal, Elliot Bay and BG trails.) Since it's winter I recommend fenders, because Seattle. Text me with any questions.
Meet for pre-ride briefing and ride SMART discussion at 0940, then we will roll shortly thereafter at 0945.
