Mercer Island Loop from Gas Works Park

There's still time to get your 2015 cycling off to a good start!  Join us for a fun ride from Gas Works down the shores of Lake Washington, over the I-90 bike bridge (yes, they also allow cars but they have special lanes for them), and around Mercer Island.  On the way back we'll refuel at Starbucks in Leschi, and then ride back through the Arboretum.

Rest stops:
- Aubrey Davis Park on Mercer Island.  10mi.  Water & restrooms.
- Starbucks at Leschi.  25mi.  Bring money!  Caffeine, pastries & restrooms.

Please be at Gas Works and ready to ride by 9:50am so you can sign the waiver and hear the safety briefing.

Riders should be able to sustain a pace of 12-14 mph on flats.  Climb hills at your own pace.  We will regroup at the top of all hills.

Riders should know how to change a flat, and have the requisite equipment. We will not be able to wait for flats or mechanical failures.  Please print a cue sheet and bring it with you.

I will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in “Weather Cancels” above or worse. I will announce the cancellation in the comments section below and on Meetup at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start and will monitor my phone and/or email listed in the Contact information.
