Free Group Ride
NCR - South
Event has already happened.
NCR = "Not a CHEW Ride"
Although we will "generally" follow the South end CHEW ride of the day, we will lose some hills and miles for a goal of 30 (ish) miles and 1800 (ish) feet of elevation per ride. Not a training series, but more of a "let's keep it moving" over the winter months.
Riders should be able to keep a steady pace on the flats. We will regroup at the tops of hills, but still try to keep the ride around 4 hours.
CUE SHEET: A limited number of cue sheets will be available at the start, so please print one out and bring it with you.
MECHANICALS: Rider should be prepared with the knowledge and tools to handle any routine mechanical issues (such as a flat). In addition, it is strongly recommended you have a friend/significant other on phone standby in case of emergency.
EQUIPMENT: Cold/wet weather gear is essential. A good headlight and taillight is recommended and long fenders are required.
CANCELLATION: Steady rain, ice, snow and sustained subfreezing temperatures will cancel the ride. A notice of cancellation will be posted both at the Cascade and Meetup Daily Ride and I will not be at the start. If you have any questions, please 253-686-3530, or email me at judauten@gmail.com.
