Free Group Ride
Seattle Pastry Ride (Brisk)
Event has already happened.
Join us for a brisk-paced (16-18 mph, and slower on trail sections) ride through northeast Seattle. It's a varied route. We'll explore some back roads along the ship canal and meander through Laurelhurst and Wedgewood. We'll ride by the new Cascade Headquarters. There's a dock nearby that should make for a nice photo op. Then we'll do the usual climb up Sandpoint Way to 145th, head over to Bitter Lake, and back through Pinehurst to Wedgewood. Our bakery stop will be at 35th NE and NE 70th. Riders will have a choice between Grateful Bread and Top Pot Doughnuts. From there it's an easy ride back to Green Lake.
This will be a social, stay-together ride with waits at the top of hills and all critical turns along with photo-op stops along the way.
Please have long fenders to protect riders behind you if roads are wet (or be prepared to ride at the back of the group). If ride is cancelled due to weather, it will be posted here in comments by 8:00 a.m. and ride leaders will not be waiting at the start.
Notes: Bathrooms at start and at the bakery stop. All riders should come equipped to deal with their own mechanicals. Waiting for mechanicals will be at the discretion of the ride leader.
