Des Moines - Green River - Three Tree Point

This ride is half flat and half rolling with a few steep hills. Much of the route is on bike trail, designated bike lane, or good road shoulder. This ride follows the least difficult climb from the Green River Valley over the ridge that separates the valley from Puget Sound. If the weather is clear you will have a good view of Puget Sound and the Olympics as we ride by Three Tree Point. If it's rainy and windy you will get a nice helping of rain and wind.

Expect wet conditions and take it easy on the curvy downhill sections.  It's easy to get going too fast for conditions on some of the descents.  If you stay behind the ride leader on the downhills you should be OK.

If the group is interested in a coffee/pastry break we can stop at the Grand Central Bakery in Burien.  Otherwise we'll just keep rolling with a couple of pit stops.
