Event has already happened.
Sustainable Capitol Hill invites people new to biking and experienced riders to explore safe and comfortable biking routes on Capitol Hill with Central Seattle Greenways organizer Merlin Rainwater. Meet at 6:30 pm at The Braeburn, 1410 East Pine, for a friendly potluck, introductions and tips for enjoyable riding. Then ride a 3-mile loop that includes a conventional bike lane on East Pine, the new Protected Bike Lane on Broadway, and proposed Neighborhood Greenways on Columbia Street and 18th Avenue. We'll stop along the way to discuss features of the Protected Bike Lane and planned improvements to the proposed Greenways. Those who wish can re-convene after the ride to discuss what we've seen and dry off if it rains.
