This ride will start at the Bainbridge Island Ferry Dock. Please be at the ferry at 9:15 to sign up and be ready to take the 9:35am ferry to Seattle. After crossing the sound, we will ride up to the African American Museum and stop to pick up Seattle folks who would like to ride with us. If you are starting in Seattle, please be at the African American Parking Lot by 10:35am. Museum is on 2300 S Massachusetts St . Parking Lot is on Massachusetts.
We will ride out on Lake Washington Blvd, Seward Park S, and turning west on Kenyon. A short ride on MLK crossing over I-5 to link up with the Cedar River Trail. The trail is lovely in the fall. We will eventually ride through Renton, stopping at Paneras for lunch and returning via the 405 bike trail, then to Mercer Island and the 1-90 trail. We will leave our Seattle riders at the African American Museum and ride down to the ferry to return to Bainbridge.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
