Lake Sammamish Loop Coffee Run
Event has already happened.
We'll meet at the East Lake Sammamish Trail parking lot, ride through Marymoor (with the option of stopping at the Subway restrooms) and do a counter-clockwise Loop around Lake Sammamish with a quick mid-ride break at Tully's.
This is basically the tried-and-true Red Hook-Lake Sammamish Loop ride (map link below), with the Sammamish River Trail section (North of Marymoor Park) removed, in order to avoid the Sunday crowds. The map link is for reference only. When riding through Marymoor park we will ride at a lower pace.
The pace is classified as vigorous, because we'll do 18-20 on the flats, but the mild elevation gain and lack of steep hills should make for lower exertion than a typical vigorous ride. If you can ride 18-20 on the flats for an hour at a stretch, you should be fine. We'll regroup as needed.
Come with tools, tube, and knowledge to fix a flat. Please arrive at the start 15 minutes early to sign the waiver and have the SMART briefing.
In the unlikely case of inclement weather, I'll note cancellation here no later than 8:00am on the morning of the ride and will not be at the start. The phone number listed won't be answered after 9:00am.
Looking forward to a pleasant Sunday spin around the lake, hope you can join us!
