Once arriving on the island, we will climb up 1 ¼ mile with approx. 4-5% grade then coast downhill for an awesome view of Salish Sea and Quartermaster Harbor. While enjoying the slow pace lifestyle, check out the bike covered in barnacles at mile 7 (view from the bridge in front of the houseboat). Lunch will be at the Pt. Robinson Lighthouse with it's spectacular views of Dash Point, Poverty Bay, Saltwater State Park, Des Moines, Normandy Park and Fauntleroy Cove. We have scheduled an optional free lighthouse tour by Captain Joe at noon. Groups of 8 will be guided through the lighthouse and up to the tower. We will accommodate as many riders on the lighthouse tour as possible within the time constraints of the ride. http://www.lighthousefriends.com/light.asp?ID=113
