Event has already happened.
We'll bike from Gasworks to Carkeek Park and hopefully see some Fall color and then stop at the Nordic Hertiage Museum on the return trip--admission $7.00 seniors and students, $8.00 other adults. We'll stay about an hour at the Museum and time permitting return to Gasworks via Golden Gardens. Ride will include lunch/snack stop. It's mostly a steady but not steep climb to Carkeek and downhill on the return. Leader bikes very slowly uphill. The Nordic Heritage Museum expects to build and move to a new facility off the Burke Gilman Trail in Ballard in the next five years. It's present facility on NW 67th Street has changing special exhibits as well as permanent ones on Scandinavian culture and immigration to the Northwest.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
