This is an 84 mile ride from the View Ridge Playfield in NE Seattle to Snohomish and Monroe. We'll head north around Lake Washington, go through Bothell and climb Hollyhills Dr en route to Snohomish, where we'll take our first rest stop. From Snohomish, we'll head to Monroe on Old Snohomish Monroe Road, then go south on the Monroe Duvall Highway, cross the Snoqualamie valley on Tualco, and head south on High Bridge Road and West Snoqualamie Valley Road. We'll climb Union Hill Road to our second rest stop in Redmond; if Union Hill is still closed we'll detour around the closure, which will add a few miles. We'll head north from Redmond on Willows Road and climb the hill to 132nd before descending to Woodinville Road and following Riverside Drive, the Burke and 175th to Lake Forest Park. We'll take Brookside and 178th to 25th, and then head south back to View Ridge. There are long flat stretches interspersed with a few good climbs, for total elevation gain of about 3800 feet. There's a link to a Ride with GPS map and cue sheet below.
When we're on the Burke (for about a mile each way), we'll slow the pace down to a mid-moderate level (about 15 mph).
Please arrive by 8:15 so we can leave by 8:30. There should be plenty of parking on the east side of the playfield, on 45th Ave NE. We'll try to keep the group together if at all possible, but please be prepared to fix flats and other mechanical issues on your own.
