SLOW Ride to Beacon Food Forest
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Visit the new Beacon Food Forest by way of the Mountains-to-Sound Trail, the Beacon Hill Greenway, and Jefferson Park. Enjoy spectacular views from Jefferson Park and take a spin on the kid-friendly zip line if you're so inclined. After admiring the fruit trees and berry bushes in the Food Forest, we'll stop for lunch along Beacon Avenue and catch a glimpse of a few other gardens on the way back. This is a S.L.O.W. Ride with Senior Ladies On Wheels - all riders of all ages are welcome, as long as you ride S.L.O.W! The slowest rider sets the pace. The climb up to Beacon Hill along the Greenway is reasonably gentle, but if you want to get off and walk that's fine. Don't worry, we won't hurry!
