"On The Move" Monday
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
An early-evening ride from Old Renton City Hall to Maple Valley and back, via the Cedar River Trail, Jones Road and the 196th Avenue hill. A great "big-steps" way for Boeing employees to kick off this year's On the Move Challenge--and for everone else to enjoy some Cedar River scenery.
This is a 25-mile route, with a total ascent of 1378 feet and a maximum elevation of 671 feet. The trek starts at Old Renton City Hall and immediately joins the Cedar River Trail. We then turn onto Jones Road and go over the 196th Avenue Hill and down to Maple Valley. We then rejoin the Cedar River Trail and follow it back to the start. Most of the ride is gentle and generally "flattish," but with one moderate mile-long climb about seven miles in. From there, it's pretty well downhill/level the rest of the way. Steady rain cancels.
