Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Seattle Childrens Hospital is celebrating the completion of a beautiful trail linking the Hospital and the Burke Gilman Trail, Phase One of the Hospital's Livable Streets Initiative. On the day before Fathers Day, Grandfathers, fathers and anyone who is or was once a child is welcome to ride with Senior Ladies On Wheels to join the festivities. Starting at 10 am at the Northwest African American Museum on the I-90 lid, we will follow proposed Neighborhood Greenways routes between the I-90 Trail, Montlake and the University District, arriving at Childrens in time for the festivities which continue until 2 pm. After a bit of celebrating, we will return by way of Interlaken Drive to avoid the steepest part of the hill. Senior Ladies On Wheels welcome all riders, as long as you ride S.L.O.W.! The slowest rider sets the pace, even if you sometimes get off an walk your bike up a hill. Rain will not cancel - but if it's pouring out we might just wait out the worst over a cup of coffee.
