Event has already happened.
Get off your rhymes-with-Jabba-the-Hutt, fire up your space bike, and come out for Star Wars Day Kidical Mass!
Sunday, May 4 ("May the 4th be with you!") NOON--Meet at the tauntauns (dinosaur topiaries) along the Burke-Gilman Trail in Fremont. We'll do a quick Star Wars craft to decorate our bike helmets as Princess Leia, R2D2, or Yoda! (Note: this will not be a very fancy craft project so feel free to work on your attire at your home space ship ahead of time!) The Hoth black market (Fremont Sunday Market) will be happening a block away so arrive early if you want to pick up some black market droids, bootleg holos, or tasty pre-ride food.
We'll travel a bit over three parsecs, over the Fremont Space Bridge, through the Westlake Jawa fortress parking lot, and along the temporary Broad Street rebel underpass.
Bring lunch from your home planet or pick something up from the Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine (The Seattle Center Armory food court in the Center House) and we'll have a pleasant picnic on the grassy forest clearing of Endor's moon alongside the International R2D2-head Fountain, in the shadow of the Jedi Tower (Space Needle). Consider bringing swim suits or change of clothing in case you or your children want to run around the fountain like Ewoks joyriding on Imperial speeder bikes.
