MORE #1 Ride in N Seattle (Thursdays)

Please join us for a MORE ride! Midweek Outdoor Riding in Evening is a weekly ride of about 20 miles with a few hills. It is a perfect way to add a little training for otherwise weekend riders without spending too much time. And it’s a great way to enjoy the long day of Pacific Northwest! Don’t go to an indoor spinning class! Instead, ride with us!
The start locations will be in North Seattle (Lower Woodland Park, Matthews Beach, View Ridge, etc.). We will ride on urban Seattle/Shoreline streets as well as some trails. Because of unavoidable traffic lights, we will keep a steady pace, but you will make it up with a few hills to climb. We will regroup at top of every hill for a reasonable time, but if you are too fast/slow for the majority, it will become self-paced. It’s nice to bring your own cue sheet. Please pack water, snack, and tools/tubes to fix a flat as always. Even though the majority of ride will be in daylight, please have your lights (both front and back) just in case.
The Thursday series will be the exact ride from the Wednesday one week and one day later. See how much you have improved over a week or do the ride for the first time if you missed it last week.
The first MORE ride starts at Lower Woodland Park to Blue Ridge neighborhood and back. We will take Burke-Gilman Trail to Golden Garden, then up to Blue Ridge. We will then head east to Wedgwood neighborhood and back.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
