Gas Works Park to Mill Creek - Frost Donuts - and return (Brisk)
Event has already happened.
If you know what a "cronut" is, then this is your chance to taste a Pacific Northwest version of the New York City-created-craze: a cross between donut and croissant: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2013/06/12/dining/from_croissant_to_cronut.html
We'll start at Gas Works Park, ride north on portions of the Interurban Trail (15mph speed limit on the dedicated bike paths), around18mph on the flats, slower up the hills, and stop at Frost Donuts in Mill Creek for coffee and "Fronuts", a flaky donut creation similar to the NYC original. Then we'll return to Gas Works via a slightly different path, heading up the Perkins Way hill to burn off the pastry. Overall, we will strive for a brisk level of effort.
Meet at 0930: rolling by 0940. Regroup at the top of the big hills, and stay together on the bike path portions of the route. Bring a spare tube just in case, and fenders are always appreciated this time of year. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3666717
