Cascade founded RSVP in 1980 when the eruption of Mount Saint Helens canceled STP. People had so much fun riding 200 miles over two days to Canada that we made it an annual event. That popularity continues to this day, as RSVP 2024 sold out.

Sixteen-hundred people joined us on Aug. 24-25 for the 44th Ride from Seattle to Vancouver and Party supported by Western Washington Honda Dealers. Steady rain made for a damp start in Seattle, but the sun burst through on Saturday afternoon and continued through to the Finish Line party in Vancouver on Day Two.

Riders finished Day One at Kulshan Brewing's Trackside Beer Garden where beer, food, sunshine, and cowbell ding-a-lings awaited following a 109-mile day in the saddle.

Riding for the Philippines
Riders of Filipino heritage--many wearing purple bandanas--rode RSVP to raise money for the Foundation for Philippine Progress, which is supporting humanitarian relief efforts in the Philippines following disastrous flooding in the wake of typhoons Carina and Enteng.

Day Two: Bellingham to Vancouver

David Lam Park on the Vancouver waterfront was a festive setting on Sunday as riders crossed the Canadian border and cruised into the city on bike paths and multi-use trails following a 70-mile ride from Bellingham.

A big thank you to everyone who rode RSVP 2024. Your registration fees support Cascade's education, advocacy, and community programs. We must also thank the many volunteers who staffed the rest stops, aided riders with mechanical issues, helped to pack and unpack baggage trucks, and more. Without our loyal volunteers, RSVP would not be possible.

If you missed out on RSVP 2024, there is still time to sign up for our final big group ride of the season: the 30th Annual Kitsap Color Classic on Oct. 6.  Did you forget to order your RSVP jersey? Order one in Cascade's club apparel shop.
